Casa Veneta
Chania - Crete

Why such title? Well because the main protagonist of Casa Veneto (Stavros) will help you with everything! Best restaurants? Ask Stavros! Best ice cream? Ask Stavros! Need help with car rental? Ask Stavros! In all seriousness our stay in Chania was much better in large part to him. With his son they make sure the hotel runs smoothly.
Can’t beat the location - on the edge of the old town just a few metres to the sea wall of the harbour in a street full of cafes and restaurants. Parking is nearby but can be a problem at busy times. Owner is very helpful with recommendations - he is a local. The room we had was a studio room with cooking facilities and tea and coffee making facilities. The room was clean and comfortable but quite spartan. But then who wants to spend time in their hotel room in such a wonderful place.
Location is amazing. House looks very nice outside and inside the hallway. The owner is local Greek, who was super helpful and extremely kind. He really makes you feel like home and this is exactly what I love when travelling. Not a big investor building a luxurious hotel where you can’t get any tip, but a local families.

Stavro was very welcoming and supportive. Place was clean and comfortable. Very centrally located. Highly recommended.
We have hardly visited such a house, like Casa Veneta...at least not for holyday staying. This house standing next to the western part of the Venetian Wall, pretty close to San Salvatore Bastion...the terrrace's wall of our 3rd floor room(no9) was literally this 16th C. wall.....with sight to the bastion and toward to the sea , pretty amasing. Finding the house and the check -in with the given code was effortless. Our room was spacy enough , a bit older outfit , comfortable however, comfy bed was there and efficient A/C was working. Morningtime you can meet the owner Mr, Stavros at the reception , to check the formalities , and to receive info about the house , the city ....great. Leaving the house you find yourself in the middle of the medieval city ...great again.
We know the location very well and that is why we chose this property. It was extremely good value for the high standard of the accommodation. Our host was helpful and friendly and the room was kept spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was a boon in the exceptionally hot weather. Our balcony had views of both the mountains and the sea.
Perfect location. Easy communication and access, so staff didn’t need to be around much, as everything worked well. The host was friendly and likeable. The building seems historic without being in bad repair at all.
The owner has lots of good information and tips. The location is at the start of the old towns at the water, so easy access to, restaurants and shopsThe rooms are spacious and everything U needWe had a huge patio attached to the old fort wall and looked across at the water, room #9The other faced into the old town but still had partial water viewU can not go wrong with this hotel
Close to town and only a 29 minute walk to the sandy beach. Stavros was extremely helpful with his local knowledge of where to go, what to see and how to get there
